THIRD RISK MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE

Based on the success of the first two Risk Management
Conferences in 2006 and 2008, the Desmarais Global Finance
Research Centre, in partnership with the Institut de
Finance Mathematique de Montréal is organizing a third
conference in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec. We
encourage the submission of academic papers on all facets
of risk management (corporate, credit, operational,
derivatives, asset pricing). Each accepted paper will be
given generous time and will be assigned a discussant. The
conference schedule will leave time for informal
interaction each day.
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:

as soon as possible and no later than November 30th, 2009.
The selection procedure will be completed before the end of
the year. Please indicate whether you would be willing to
discuss a paper should your paper not be included in the
program. The submission of new work is encouraged and
papers should not be scheduled for publication or
presentation at a major conference prior to submission.
FEES/TRAVEL/ACCOMMODATION:
A conference fee will be charged to cover expenses (C$375
for academics, C$575 for practitioners and C$150 for
students). The fee covers breakfasts and lunches as well as
a dinner reception on Friday. Presenters and discussants
will be provided with free accommodation and a conference
fee waiver. Conference participants are responsible for
their own travel and accommodation expenses. Conference
participants are eligible for discounted hotel rates
arriving Thursday March 11 and departing Sunday March 14.
The conference will be held at the Fairmont Resort Hotel -
http://www.fairmont.com/tremblant/ - situated at the foot
of Mont Tremblant in Quebec's Laurentians. Tremblant is the
premier winter resort in eastern North America. It is
located a 2-hour drive by shuttle or rental car north of
Montreal's Trudeau Airport. Toronto and New York (Newark)
have direct air service to the local Mont Tremblant
International Airport:
