DEAKIN UNIVERSITY FINANCE SYMPOSIUM


                       "FINANCE ON THE MOVE"


                         20 November 2009



     The School of Accounting, Economics and Finance at
     Deakin University will host a finance symposium on
     Friday 20 November, with the theme "Finance on the Move."
     The symposium will recognise the career contributions of
     the most prolific financial markets researchers in
     Australian and New Zealand universities listed by name in
     "Most prolific authors in the finance literature: 1959-
     2008" (Heck and Cooley, 2009) and "Ranking of finance
     programs in the Asia-Pacific region: An update" (Chan, Chen
     and Lung, 2005). The symposium will also host two
     distinguished keynote speakers from public service and
     academia. The distinguished ministerial speaker will be The
     Honourable Lindsay Tanner, Member of Parliament and Federal
     Minister for Finance and Deregulation. The distinguished
     academic speaker will be Stephen Brown, David S. Loeb
     Professor of Finance at New York University and University
     of Melbourne. Commemorative awards will be presented by
     SIRCA, the leading provider of financial data and eResearch
     services in Australia and New Zealand.
