Call For Proposals for Postdoctoral Researcher
Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI)

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), founded in partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is pleased to announce the launch of a call for proposals for postdoctoral researchers.

TOPICS: We are delighted to invite outstanding postdoctoral scientists from around the world to propose their highly innovative research projects in the following broadly defined areas:
- Entrepreneurial Society
- Collaborative Innovation
- Future of Manufacturing

These three research programs cover a broad range of possible research topics directly relevant for Russia as well as for the international innovation ecosystem. Research proposals will be assessed on the basis of their overall scientific and innovative merits, and their potential impact on Russia's innovation ecosystem.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The program provides a unique opportunity for young researchers to exchange and develop knowledge, broaden practical investigative skills, and gain invaluable experience under the mentorship of the leading authorities in their fields: faculty of MIT and other international partner institutions. Participants will also benefit from joining a new and vibrant community where Entrepreneurship and Innovation are at the core of daily activity, having the opportunity to interact with all our Russian and international industrial, governmental and academic partners.

Selected applicants will receive competitive compensation including independent research support funds for two years beginning Fall 2013. Postdoctoral appointments are full time positions at Skoltech in Moscow, Russia.

QUALIFICATIONS: To be eligible, applicants must:
- Provide a list of research publications or other research outputs, participation in conferences, workshops, and research projects, and other professional activities;
- Be in possession of a doctoral degree (PhD) for the period not exceeding 3 years;
- Must receive a doctoral degree by the start of the award, but no more than three years before as of July 1 of the year of the award.

The reference date for fulfilling the above conditions is the relevant deadline for submission of proposals. The researcher is considered "in possession of a PhD", if he/she can provide a PhD certificate from the awarding authority (including the defense of the thesis).
