Call For Papers
NBER Summer Institute 2012, Economics of IT and Digitization Workshop

July 19 and 20, 2012, Cambridge, Massachusetts

We are organizing a workshop on the Economics of Information Technology and Digitization during the NBER Summer Institute. The workshop will be held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts on July 19 and 20.

TOPICS: Papers with some empirical application are especially suitable for this workshop. In particular, we welcome papers that use fine-grained data (e.g. web clickstream, search query trends, mobile devices, etc.) or which explore the effects of digitization on firms, markets, industries or employment.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: If you have a paper that would be appropriate for this workshop, please upload a copy here: http://www.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=SI12PRIT by March 30, 2012. If the paper is incomplete you may send an extended abstract or rough draft now, with the finished paper due by June 10. Questions can be directed to Rob Shannon at rshannon@nber.org

Since this announcement goes to a large group, we cannot invite everyone who receives it. We regret that we cannot reimburse travel or lodging expenses for non-NBER presenters.
