Big data has become an important high-tech trend in many industries. Before a much more widespread adoption from IT to the overall economy and businesses, further studies are required to facilitate this jump.

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation in conjunction with ISA and INFORMS is sponsoring a workshop on innovations and big data analytics under the organization of Associate Professor Diego Klabjan from Northwestern University.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
- Summarize the current state of big data analytics
- Discuss the current challenges in innovative applications of big data analytics
- Create a road map for advancing further innovations in this space
