Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure Track)

Applications are invited for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Agricultural Economics and Rural Policy group of Wageningen University (Tenure Track)

JOB DESCRIPTION: As Assistant/Associate Professor you are responsible for the organisation, implementation and coordination of research and teaching activities in the field of Agricultural, Rural and Regional Economics and Policy. You will be given the chance to develop your own research line and achieve a leading international position in this field. We are particularly searching for applicants with a strong interest in national account systems. You will also be teaching and advising students.

Wageningen University provides training and coaching to further develop your skills.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: As Assistant/Associate Professor you are an ambitious and enthusiastic economist and team player, devoted to research and teaching. You have:
- A PhD in economics;
- Expertise in conducting research and experience in publishing in international journals;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Enthusiasm for teaching and working with students;
Expertise in acquisition of research funds, teaching experience and fluency in Dutch are desirable

WE OFFER: We offer you a challenging career trajectory called Tenure Track. From the position of Assistant/Associate Professor you can grow into the position of a Professor holding a Personal Chair. Training and coaching are provided. You have the freedom to build your own research line in the broad domain of agricultural and regional economics. Interdisciplinary and international cooperation is stimulated.

We offer you a temporary contract for three years for 38 hours per week, which can lead to a permanent full time employment contract. Gross Salary: from Euro 3259,00 to Euro 5498,00, based on full time employment and dependent on expertise and experience.
