The Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth seeks applicants for a Post-Doctoral research position (Full-Time) for an empirical economist starting between January 1, 2014 and July 1, 2014.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Research Associate:
The Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth at Northwestern University has a position available for an empirical economist.
The position is for an empirical economist to engage in individual and collaborative research in the field of Innovation Economics, including patents and technology standards. The position would provide ample time to develop research for publication. The researcher would assist with organizing research conferences and roundtables. The salaries would be competitive with academic salaries and would include benefits. The position does not require teaching although teaching opportunities may be available. The positions would start sometime between January 1, 2014 and July 1, 2014 depending on the candidate's availability. We hope to make hiring decisions some time before April 2014. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2013.
DURATION OF POSITION: The position is for two years but may be extended by one or two more years.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A successful candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications: (1) a doctorate in economics or a related field or near completion; (2) an expectation of excellence research; and (3) Two letters of reference. This can be a Post-Doctorate research opportunity. The candidate will engage in scholarly research in a collaborative environment.
