JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful appointee/s will be expected to teach at all levels, preferably in macroeconomics, public economics, Industrial Organisation, regulatory economics, labour economics, health economics, natural resources and environmental economics (although all fields in economics will be considered) and be capable of supervising honours and postgraduate students undertaking research in these fields. The appointee/s will also be expected to engage in individual and/or group research in economics leading to publication of scholarly papers in high quality journals and to seek competitive research funding. The role includes administrative responsibilities such as course coordination duties and participation in relevant committees.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a PhD in Economics with recent and relevant teaching experience. You should also have a solid background in research as demonstrated by published papers in national and international academic journals. Applicants must have a strong commitment to contributing to the continuous improvement of the School's academic programs and to developing a coherent and high quality research program.

REMUNERATION: This is a full-time, continuing appointment at either Academic level B or C. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,857 to $97,205AUD p.a. (level B) or $100,275 to $115,623AUD p.a (level C), plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%. The total remuneration package for a level B will be in the range $95,773 to $113,730AUD p.a. or for level C $117,322 to $135,279AUD p.a.
