Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow/MTID (Position #13-182)

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow for its Markets, Trade and Institutions Division.

The position is a two-year, fixed-term appointment, and is renewable depending on performance and funding. Please note that Postdoctoral Fellow appointments at IFPRI have a maximum term of three (3) years, inclusive of any approved appointment extensions. This position is based at IFPRI headquarters located in Washington, D.C.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct research on financial econometrics with a special focus on empirical modeling of various markets associated with agricultural commodities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. in Economics or Finance.
- Field in Econometrics and a research focus in Time Series methods and Financial Econometrics.
- Three or more years of experience and important publications will be preferred for the research level position.
- Strong theoretical background and an interest in empirical modeling of financial markets.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Ability to travel extensively.
