KU Leuven invites applications for a full-time academic position in the field of globalization and international economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business. CES is looking for a candidate with seniority, a strong academic profile and international reputation (from 1 October 2013).

ASSIGNMENT:
Research: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated international researcher in one of more subfields of globalization and international economics. The selected candidate will be responsible for initiating and directing research projects in this field.

Teaching: The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate courses. He/she is expected to supervise master papers and doctoral dissertations.

Services: He/she will be engaged in initiatives and collaborations with colleagues within and outside the Faculty.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
- The selected candidate should have an excellent research record. The high quality of the candidate's research should be evidenced by publications in international top-tier and highly respected journals. International research experience is highly appreciated.
-The qualified candidate has experience in academic-based teaching and can demonstrate strong didactic skills. International teaching experience is highly appreciated.
- The selected candidate is expected to contribute to strengthening the teaching and research activities of the Center for Economic Studies and more particularly within the International Economics research group. Candidates who are not proficient in Dutch are expected to acquire, within 3 years, adequate knowledge of Dutch to teach in this language.
- A good knowledge of English is required.
