Chair in Applied Economics

The European University Institute is looking for candidates with a distinguished record of scholarly publications and experience in postgraduate teaching and doctoral supervision, to fill a Chair in Applied Economics (ECO2).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Department of Economics invites applications for a Chair in Applied Economics which will be vacant in September 2013. To fulfill the needs of the Department's structured Ph.D. programme, candidates must have experience in graduate-level formal instruction and in doctoral supervision, as well as a strong academic publication record.

Candidates should have an excellent research record in applied economics (for instance, labour economics, empirical IO, household choice, firm decisions, finance, development economics), with an emphasis on applied empirical work. The successful candidate will teach in the econometrics sequence of the Department.
