The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Goethe-University Frankfurt and the Center for Financial Studies invite applications for 4 Full Professorships (W3) for the Excellence Center "SAFE" starting at the earliest possible date.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Goethe University is seeking to fill four positions at the Full Professor level in its new Center of Excellence on Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe, SAFE (https://www.ifk-cfs.de/safe). Successful applicants are expected to conduct research and to contribute actively to the activities of the Center of Excellence, which include a visitors program, a data center, and numerous research projects focusing on different aspects of a sustainable architecture for finance in Europe. In particular we are seeking candidates in the following fields:

Behavorial Economics and Finance: We are looking for a researcher working in the broad field of macroeconomics with research interests connected to SAFE, and with a proven interest in the study of economic behavior.

Industrial Organization and Financial Markets: We are looking for a researcher with an excellent research record in industrial organization with a proven interest on financial markets and/or financial intermediaries.

Law and Finance: We are looking for a researcher interested in working at the interface of finance an law, with research program and record in theoretical or empirical corporate finance plus a strong interest in contractual or regulatory issues. A formal training in law is an advantage.

Public Finance and Debt Management: We are looking for a researcher with an excellent research record in public finance with a preferred concentration on debt sustainability, quality of public budgets, government debt or sovereign debt default.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates are supposed to start at the earliest possible date. The professorship is a tenured appointment. Candidates must possess a doctorate and an excellent research record and capacity for effective teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels. PhD teaching is in English and MSc or BA teaching can be in German or in English.

FURTHER INFORMATION: The designated salary for the position is based on "W3" on the German university scale or equivalent.
