American University, School of International Service - One Tenure-Line Faculty Position in International Economics
The School of International Service invites applications/nominations for one tenure-line position in International Economics, at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor, to begin Fall (August) 2013.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include teaching and research supervision at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentoring students, and participating in SIS and University service.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Economics preferred and record of teaching and research excellence. We seek a highly productive scholar-teacher whose work is both theoretically oriented and policy relevant. The ideal candidate will share the School's commitments to academic excellence, diversity, and service. The School of International Service is ranked by its peers as a top-ten international relations program at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and consists of more than 100 full-time faculty members working across multiple disciplines.
We seek outstanding candidates with substantial scholarship and teaching in international economics who demonstrate an ongoing interest in issues of global economic and financial governance, the focus of a University initiative that builds on the School's strengths and its ties to the policy and research community in Washington, D.C. Candidates should be enthusiastic about working in the interdisciplinary environment of the School.
