ABOUT THE FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS AND RESEARCH CLUSTER: FMC2 is a research collaboration between Industry, University College Dublin, Dublin City University, and NUI Maynooth. It brings together complementary expertise in financial mathematics, financial economics and computer science to create a multi-disciplinary research programme in asset and risk management, areas of critical importance to the future development of the international financial services sector in Ireland. Launched in September 2009, FMC2 is part of the Science Foundation Ireland Strategic Research Cluster (SRC) programme.
JOB DESCRIPTION: These positions are for up to two years (with a possible extension of 6 months) and are funded by Science Foundation Ireland. These are advanced academic research roles, building on your prior experience as a post-doctoral fellow, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator. The primary purpose of these roles are to develop new or advanced research skills and competences, on the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications and scholarly dissemination, the development of funding proposals, and the supervision and mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
SALARY: Euro 38,155 - 43,643 per annum. Appointment on range will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
