Assistant Professor in Finance and Development
Applications are invited for two full-time positions of Assistant Professor in Finance and Development starting on the 1st September 2012 or on a mutually agreed-upon date.
In partnership with the Pictet Foundation, the Graduate Institute is establishing a Center for Finance and Development designed to put the Institute at the forefront of research and policy debates on the role of finance in fostering economic development. It is looking for two assistant professors to complete the team.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics or Finance with a demonstrated interest in development issues. They may be in the final stages of their dissertation but must complete their doctoral degree by the Summer 2012 at the latest. The successful candidates will teach courses at both the master's and doctoral. They will be expected to supervise Masters and PhD theses. The capacity to work with colleagues from other disciplines is an asset. The teaching language is either English or French. Knowledge of French is not required, but the selected candidate is expected to acquire at least a passive knowledge of it.
