The Research Department may have an opening for economists doing research in any of the following fields: urban and regional economics, economic geography, real estate markets, state and local finance, local public goods, local labor markets.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Main responsibilities include actively engaging in academic research for publication in top-tier academic journals; briefing the Bank's president on policy issues; and writing nontechnical articles for our Business Review. Excellent research skills are vital, as are good writing and speaking skills. Both experienced research economists and new Ph.D.s are encouraged to apply.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics or reasonably expect to complete all requirements for the degree by September 2012. The Department offers an outstanding research environment and competitive salary and benefits.
