                        Faculty Positions



     The University of St. Gallen invites outstanding candidates
     to apply for one of the four following positions:


     Assistant Professorship in the Political Economy of
     Development


     Assistant Professorship in International Organisation, with
     a focus on Law or Management


     Assistant Professorship in the Political Theory of Global
     Governance


     Doctoral Position/Research Assistantship in Global
     Governance


     by January 1st, 2010 or mutual agreement.



     JOB DESCRIPTION:


     The appointees will join a new inter-disciplinary research
     programme on "Global Democratic Governance" in the School
     of Economics and Political Science, comprising established
     scholars in political science, economics, international law
     and public ad-ministration, and communications science.
     Applicants should have a doctorate in one of these academic
     fields and a willingness to collaborate on research and
     teaching with persons from other fields. Exceptional
     candidates from other disciplines will also be considered.
     The positions will initially be filled for three years with
     the possibility for a single three-year renewal. As the
     University of St. Gallen seeks to increase the diversity of
     its faculty, applications from women are especially
     welcome.


     The successful candidates are expected to contribute top-
     ranking research output and initiatives in the fields of
     the research programme.
