     The Research Department seeks economists doing research in
     any area of banking and finance, and/or industrial
     organization, especially economists specializing in
     research on financial institutions or financial
     contracting, either empirical or theoretical.



     JOB DESCRIPTION:


     Main responsibilities include actively engaging in academic
     research for publication in top-tier academic journals;
     briefing the Bank's president on policy issues; and writing
     nontechnical articles for our Business Review.



     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     Excellent research skills are vital, as are good writing
     and speaking skills. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in
     economics or finance. The Department offers an outstanding
     research environment and competitive salary and benefits.
