THE CENTRAL BANK OF CYPRUS


                       Postdoctoral Researchers



     The Central Bank of Cyprus, a member of the Eurosystem,
     wishes to appoint postdoctoral researchers in its Economic
     Research Department.



     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     Specifically, the Central Bank is seeking applications from
     individuals who have recently completed their PhD and would
     like to carry out research on a specific project with a
     view to publishing their work in an academic journal. The
     Central Bank's fields of interest are:


     - Monetary economics
     - Macroeconomics
     - International economics (e.g. exchange rate regimes,
       capital movements)
     - Fiscal policy (e.g. fiscal deficits, macro aspects of
       pensions and taxation)
     - Labour economics
     - Financial stability
     - Financial markets
     - Household finances and wealth
     - Applied econometrics


     The length of appointment will be for up to two years
     and the salary will be competitive.

     as well as three letters of recommendation. They should be
