THE CENTRAL BANK OF CYPRUS


                           Research Interns



     The Central Bank of Cyprus, a member of the Eurosystem,
     wishes to appoint research interns in its Economic Research
     Department.



     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     Specifically, the Central Bank is seeking applications
     from individuals who are studying for a PhD in economics
     and would like to spend a short period at the Central
     Bank of Cyprus doing research in one of the following
     fields:


     - Monetary economics
     - Macroeconomics
     - International economics (e.g. exchange rate regimes,
       capital movements)
     - Fiscal policy (e.g. fiscal deficits, macro aspects of
       pensions and taxation)
     - labour economics
     - Financial stability
     - Financial markets
     - Household finances and wealth
     - Applied econometrics


     The length of appointment will be flexible and will vary
     from three to twelve months. A monthly stipend will be
     payable.
