Royal Holloway has one of the 5 large departments of
Economics in the University of London. The College is
situated on an extremely attractive campus in the outskirts
of London, and was established in 1886. The College is
independently ranked as one of the top twenty universities
in the UK.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We wish to add to our existing staff of 25 and are seeking
to appoint outstanding individuals at all ranks. A number
of posts will be filled. Terms and conditions are
comparable to those at leading international research
departments. Candidates for full professor are expected to
have publications in the very top journals. All candidates
are expected to demonstrate exceptional promise as scholars
and teachers. Successful candidates can take up their
position in September 2008, or at a mutually agreed later
date.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The Department has particular expertise in the areas of
economic theory/experimental economics and in labour
economics. We wish to build upon our existing strengths,
and also to expand our groups in Finance, Industrial
Economics, and Macroeconomics. Applications are welcome in
all fields of Economics, including Economic History. For
one of the posts, willingness to teach Finance would be
desirable.
