                    Economist - Monetary Analysis


      Banque centrale du Luxembourg, member of the Eurosystem,
      has currently an opening in its Monetary Analysis and
      Economic Studies section for an ECONOMIST - Monetary
      Analysis (m/f) Full time (ref.: ECO/001/08).


      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

      - contribute to monetary analysis within the BCL
      - monitor monetary analysis at the euro area level and
        further develop analysis at the BCL, in particular study
        of financial markets and the monetary policy transmission
        process
      - contribute to the drafting of BCL Bulletins and Annual
        Reports
      - prepare analyses for BCL Working Paper series or other
        scientific publications
      - contribute to briefing management on monetary analysis
      - participate in international conferences on monetary
        analysis


      JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

      - Advanced university degree with very good knowledge of
        macroeconomics, in particular monetary theory and
        financial markets. Preference will be given to PhD
        degrees
      - Demonstrated ability to independently conduct research to
        an academic standard
      - Very good econometric skills
      - Good command of French and English (spoken and written)
      - Knowledge of Luxembourgish or German represents an
        advantage
