                        Research Positions


     The Research Department of the National Bank of Belgium
     invites applications of Ph.D. economists for several
     temporal research positions. Applicants are expected to do
     research related to one of the following projects:

     - empirical analysis of external trade developments and
       performances;
     - DSGE modelling;
     - public finance;
     - monetary policy.


     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     The candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Economics, have a
     strong quantitative background and a proven research record
     or potential.

     Particular interest and experience on topics closely
     related to the research projects is desired. Publications
     in international refereed journals have a high priority.

     The positions have a maximum duration of two years (two
     one-year contracts). Part-time and short term contracts are
     possible. The salary will depend on the relevant
     experience.
