               Professor of the Economics of Innovation


     The faculty of Business and Economics of The Katholieke
     Universiteit Leuven is inviting applications for a
     Professor of the Economics of Innovation (0.2 fte) m/f.


     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     Applicants are expected to have:

     - A Ph.D. in economics;
     - An excellent track record in research in the economics of
       innovation, as well as in the related fields of
       industrial organization and innovation strategy;
     - Experience with empirical research in these domains and
       the application of quantitative research methods,
       including the analysis of patent data.

     The successful candidate shares responsibility for, and is
     expected to provide an important contribution to,
     education, research and management at the Department of
     Managerial Economics, Strategy, and Innovation. In
     particular, the candidate is expected to contribute to the
     research projects in the department focusing on the
     importance of science for economic performance.

     We offer a 0.2 FTE part-time position for three years. Rank
     is determined based on the candidate's profile and track
     record.
