Senior Health Care Management Scholar
Rutgers School of Business - Camden is seeking a senior
scholar to take a leadership role in developing,
implementing and directing a Health Care Management
Concentration in our M.B.A. program, with the long-term
goal of building a consortium of healthcare organizations
into a center of excellence. The focus of the program will
be on meeting the demand for effective, strategic and
efficient management of organizations in health care and
supporting industries.
JOB QUALIFICATION:
The ideal candidate will:
- have a Ph.D. in a business-related discipline
- have a record of high quality scholarship that promotes
excellence in health care
- understand the structure and position of health care
organizations within the communities that they serve
- have the ability to engage industry leaders, alumni and
other important stakeholders (from Rutgers and the
community) in identifying the skills and capabilities
that health care managers need to become future leaders
- be able to develop and implement the curriculum with the
support of faculty, administration and the health care
community
ABOUT THE BUSINESS SCHOOL:
The Rutgers School of Business - Camden is located in
southern New Jersey, at the Camden Waterfront, directly
across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. The school has
35 tenured and tenure-track faculty and is the first
business school in southern New Jersey to earn AACSB
accreditation. The Rutgers MBA attracts working
professionals through its academically rigorous and
practice-relevant program that provides flexible on-
campus/off-site, weekday/weekend offerings. The area has
many leading organizations in healthcare and allied service
with access to their state-of-the-art research and
infrastructure facilities. In Camden, such organizations
include the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Cooper
University Hospital. The area is also in the midst of a
growing healthcare industry with major healthcare
organizations investing in new and expanded short-term and
long-term care facilities. Salary is competitive and the
