Applied Economics: Empirical Analysis of Markets & Enterprises - International Conference

September 18-20, 2013, Higher School of Economics - Perm, Perm, Russia

The conference establishes a high level academic forum in applied economics and finance (broadly defined) in the heart of Russia. The working language of the conference is English.

CONFERENCE AREAS (focused but not limited to):
- Empirical corporate finance
- Empirical analysis of markets and enterprises

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Academics and practitioners working in the above fields are invited to submit papers for presentation at the conference. Paper submission is open now on the conference website: http://perm.hse.ru/icae

DEADLINES: Due to numerous requests, the extended deadlines are:
June 30, 2013: Full (draft) paper submission
July 15, 2013: Notification of paper acceptance
September 10, 2013: Finalized paper submission

EXPENSES AND TRAVEL GRANTS: The Conference Organizing Committee will cover a closing dinner and cultural programme. Information about the venue will be distributed later.

GRANTS: HSE - Perm will award a few grants to the most outstanding papers as a contribution to cover travel and accommodation expenses for PhD-students or Post-docs (up to 200 EURO + accommodation in the student residence).

ABOUT THE CITY OF PERM: The city of Perm (associated with the Permian geologic period) was founded in 1723 and is often described as an industrial center. A city of almost 1,000,000 people, Perm is situated on the Kama river, 1200 km east of Moscow (4-5 hours by air from/to European destinations, usually with one connection) and is particularly famous for its Opera and Ballet Theater.
