The Geneva Risk and Insurance Review Special Issue: New Developments in the Economics of Insurance Markets with Adverse Selection
The Geneva Risk and Insurance Review is pleased to announce a Special issue on: "New developments in the economics of insurance markets with adverse selection", for the June 2014 Issue.
TOPICS: We encourage submissions from all areas of research, applied and theoretical, applying to the above theme. Contributions may include research on:
- New theoretical insights into existence of equilibria under adverse selection.
- New empirical methods for detecting adverse selection in insurance markets.
- New techniques for risk classification, such as the use of credit ratings or genetic testing to risk-rate insureds.
- Insights from specific markets, such as health insurance, annuities, et cetera.
- The interaction between public and private insurance in an environment of adverse selection.
- Implications of legal restrictions that create an environment of adverse selection.
- New methods to separate between adverse selection and incentive problems.
NOTE: Please indicate on the title page of your manuscript if your submission is for the special issue.
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: All contributions will go through a refereeing process.
