Visiting Scholar Grant

The Fondation Banque centrale du Luxembourg is offering a Euro 5 000 grant to conduct research on Financial Stability combined with visits to the BCL. Senior researchers are eligible as well as students enrolled in a PhD program.

DESCRIPTION: The grant should contribute to the preparation of a research paper on a topic related to Financial Stability. Visits to the BCL to discuss the research project with bank staff may be extended over several weeks or be repeated at different times in the year. The objective is to encourage the exchange of ideas between the research community and staff at the central bank. Papers jointly authored with BCL staff are encouraged.

The paper must address financial stability (if possible with an application to Luxembourg) and must aim to meet the scientific standards required for publication in refereed journals. The paper will be presented at a seminar at the Banque centrale du Luxembourg and/or at a conference organised by the Fondation BCL

Applications will be evaluated by a committee selected by the Council of the Fondation. Preference may be given to researchers with a personal link to Luxembourg.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Interested researchers can apply (in English or French) by submitting a CV (or link to a webpage) and a description of the proposed research project (max. 2 pages) with an indication of desired period and duration of stay.
