Call for Papers
17th International Symposium on Inventories

August 20-24, 2012, Budapest, Hungary

Organized by the International Society for Inventory Research

PURPOSE: The professional objective of organizing this event is to provide a forum for an international exchange of ideas on various aspects of inventories.

TOPICS: The main streams of the symposium are organized around the four sections of ISIR:
- Economics of Inventories
- Inventory Management
- Mathematical Models of Inventories
- Forecasting Inventories

Besides the regular paper presentations there will be special sessions on:
- Service Logistics
- Modelling and Simulation of Mult-Echelon Inventory Systems
- Inventory and the Environment
- Emergency Actions in Inventory Management

Papers on macro- and microeconomics, econometrics, economic policy, business, management and operational research aspects of inventory problems and related fields (production, logistics, etc.) are invited.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Abstracts should be submitted online at https://isir2012.diamond-congress.hu by March 31, 2012. Abstracts will undergo a blind review. Executive Committee members, Session Chairs will act as reviewers. Decisions regarding acceptance will be made by 30 April, 2012. The volume of abstracts will be available at the Symposium.
