Fiscal Policy and Coordination in Europe
The National Bank of Slovakia is seeking papers for a conference to be held in Bratislava on 13-14 September 2012.
TOPICS: The conference papers should address issues such as: the effect of fiscal policy rules in the European Union and in the Euro Area on the motivation to implement prudent fiscal policies; the development of fiscal policies in Europe; debt dynamics; the modelling of sovereign spreads; interactions between sovereigns and financial institutions; the effects of sovereign or financial crises on different sectors of the economy; the modelling of interactions between fiscal policy and macroeconomic performance; monetary-fiscal interactions; and approaches to fiscal consolidation.
PROGRAMME COMMITTEE: Members of the programme committee are:

Authors of papers accepted for presentation will be provided with travel expenses and accommodation in Bratislava for the period of the conference.
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Proposals for papers should be sent (in the form of 1-2 page abstracts) to Martin Suster at the National Bank of Slovakia, e-mail martin.suster@nbs.sk, by 15 March 2012. The programme committee will aim to communicate its decisions to authors by early April 2012.
