Conference Announcement
International Conference "Promoting the Understanding of Cooperatives for a Better World"
Venice, 15 - 16 March 2012
Euricse, in partnership with ICA, is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the International Conference "Promoting the understanding of cooperatives for a better world". The Conference will take place in Venice on 15 - 16 March 2012. The event is one of three official ICA events during the UN International Year of Cooperatives and will be one of the key moments during the year in which reflections on cooperation will be offered to the international public. The Conference aims to give an updated picture of the current state of the scientific debate on the nature, impact, and potential of cooperative enterprises.
OVERVIEW: Among the participants will be many of the most noted academics and economists who have addressed the economic and social role of cooperative enterprises using innovative approaches.
What sets apart the Euricse conference from the numerous events planned in every country is that it is organized on the basis of talks and commentaries that the scholars have prepared specifically for the Conference. The presentations will be submitted in advance and made available to the participants, which will also allow Euricse researchers to develop innovative materials designed to improve our understanding of these types of enterprise. These materials will be presented and distributed throughout 2012 at events throughout the world celebrating the International Year of Cooperatives.
REGISTRATION: Space is limited, so registration will be closed as soon as the maximum number of participants is reached. For more detailed information, please visit our web site: http://conference2012.euricse.eu/en or write to: conference@euricse.eu
