CALL FOR PAPERS
ESE CONFERENCE
"EXPERIMENTS IN ORGANIZATIONS"
Rotterdam
30 & 31 October 2009
Managers in organizations have the challenging tasks of
recruiting, motivating, retaining, and, sometimes, firing
employees. How to do this in the most efficient way is not
always clear. Experimental economics offers insights into
how people respond to management tools such as delegation,
team-work, feedback, and several types of incentive pay.
This conference brings together economists and other social
scientists doing field or lab experiments in the areas of
organizational or personnel economics to present and
discuss work in progress.
14 papers will be presented over two days (30 minutes paper
presentation, 5 minutes discussant, 10 minutes general
discussion per paper). Each paper presenter will serve as
discussant of one paper. The conference will comprise both
invited and contributed papers.
