Call for Papers: 2ND EUROPEAN RISK CONFERENCE

                    2ND EUROPEAN RISK CONFERENCE

                       "RISK AND GOVERNANCE"

                 Universita Bocconi, Milano - Italy


     On September 11-12, 2008, Universita Bocconi will host the
     2nd European Risk Conference. The conference is organized
     by the European Risk Research Network (ERRN) and
     financially supported by the EU's Marie Curie Actions
     programme. The second in a series of four linked
     conferences, the Conference will provide a platform for
     both academics and practitioners to discuss issues in the
     design and implementation of risk management and internal
     control systems in the perspective of Corporate Governance.

     Academics and practitioners are invited to submit papers to
     be presented in parallel sessions on topics concerning risk
     management, internal control, corporate governance and
     their relationships.


     TOPICS:

     The scope of potential topics includes:

     - E.R.M.: design and implementation issues;
     - Risk Assessment;
     - Internal Control Systems: design and implementation
       issues;
     - E.R.M. : Internal Control and Corporate Governance;
     - Internal Control and Regulation;
     - Internal Auditing.


     PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:

     To be eligible for presentation, an extended abstract (500
     words) or a full paper must be sent by May 15th, 2008 to:

     Manuscripts must be written in English and submitted in
     Word format (A4 pages, typed, single spaced, 12-point,
     headed by title, author(s), affiliation(s) and address for
     correspondence). Authors will be notified of acceptance by
     June 15th, 2008.

     Each paper presented will be allocated a discussant who
     will provide the author(s) with written feedback.
     Presenters are expected to act as a discussant for other
     papers upon request of the scientific committee.

     The Conference is preceded on September 10th, 2007 by a
     Doctoral Colloquium reserved to young researcher.

     A number of funded places are available for both the
     Doctoral Colloquium and the Conference.
