Call for Papers: 2ND NORDIC SUMMER SYMPOSIUM IN MACROECONOMICS

                           CALL FOR PAPERS

           "2ND NORDIC SUMMER SYMPOSIUM IN MACROECONOMICS"

                         August 11 - 13, 2008
                        Sandbjerg Gods, Denmark


     The objective of the conference is to gather young
     researchers from the Nordic countries and researchers with
     an interest in the Nordic countries, with the aim of
     creating networks. Established academics will discuss
     presented papers with the goal of advancing the research of
     younger researchers.


     ORGANIZERS:

     The organizers are John Hassler (IIES, Stockholm), Per
     Krusell (Princeton), Rasmus Lentz (Wisconsin), Morten O.
     Ravn (EUI, Florence), Jon Steinsson (Columbia), Kjetil
     Storesletten (Oslo) and Juuso Valimaki (Helsinki).

     This year's plenary speaker is Jose-Victor Rios-Rull
     (Minnesota).


     TOPICS:

     Papers within all areas of macroeconomics as well as
     associated fields such as public finance, asset pricing,
     human capital, labor economics, political economy, and
     international economics.


     PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:

     Submit a draft paper and a curriculum vitae to:

     FUNDING:

     Funding for lodging will be offered to up to 30 applicants
     due to a grant generously provided by Forskningsradet for
     Samfund og Erhverv and Danmarks Nationalbank. Some
     resources for travel are also available for those that do
     not have access to other means.
