This eJournal distributes working and accepted paper abstracts in the full range of subjects that comprise Health Economics, including both health care and the economic determinants of health status. Topics include the market for health services; private and public health insurance; the pharmaceutical industry; health care costs; effects of health care and health care programs on health outcomes; economic and social determinants of behavior that affects health; economic consequences of mortality and morbidity; causes and consequences of substance abuse; economics of health R & D; government programs; fertility; value of life and of improvements in health status; and economics of aging and the aged. The topics in this eJournal include the subjects in Sections I1 and J1 of the JEL Classification System.
