As part of its continuing development building on its reputation for teaching and research on the economic, institutional and organisational aspects of accounting and financial management, the Department of Accounting at LSE invites applications from outstanding candidates for one or more Assistant Professor posts in Accounting. JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be expected to undertake research, and to teach at undergraduate and graduate level.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Those specialising in any area of accounting are encouraged to apply. We welcome applications from candidates with a completed or nearly-completed PhD, but also from early-stage faculty with an emerging research record.

Candidates with a completed or nearly-completed PhD will be able to demonstrate a developing record of research with potential for publication in leading peer-reviewed journals. Early-stage faculty will be able to demonstrate a consistent record of high-quality research with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.

You will also have previous experience and skills in the teaching of accounting and be able to demonstrate a trajectory for future research in accounting.

SALARY: The appointment is expected to commence on 1 September 2014. The salary range is British Pound 50,387 per annum to 61,869 per annum (pay award pending) topped up with a salary supplement, plus a research support allowance.
