The John T. Steed School of Accounting Michael F. Price College of Business anticipates two faculty openings for the academic year 2014-15. Primary needs are for faculty in financial accounting, with a secondary need in managerial accounting. The preferred research focus is empirical archival research.

Educational: Candidates must possess an appropriate doctorate or be near completion. Candidates must have academic training which indicates the potential for significant high quality academic research.

Research potential for candidates for assistant professor will be evaluated in part by their dissertation topic and methodology. Research leading to publication in high-quality journals is required for promotion and tenure. Faculty members are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service activities. New assistant professors have minimal service obligations for a period of three years.

Faculty at the associate and full professor level will be evaluated based on their past academic record, current work in process, evidence of quality teaching and high quality service activities. We offer both graduate and undergraduate courses in most areas of accounting. Degree programs include the bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.
