Faculty Positions in Accounting
The University at Buffalo department of Accounting and Law is seeking
to fill faculty positions in the rank of Assistant, Associate, and/or
Full Professor to begin fall 2014.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary duties include conducting accounting
research and teaching accounting courses at the undergraduate, MBA,
and/or PhD levels. Appointments are expected to play a significant
role in the development and delivery of education at the
undergraduate and graduate levels, active involvement with the
business community and promotion of the school.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: For the tenured positions (Assoc/Full)
include: 1) a significant research track record in premier scholarly
journals, i.e., the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal
of Accounting Research, and The Accounting Review. 2) Evidence of an
ability to mentor PhD students and effectively teach
undergraduates/masters students. 3) Willingness to play a role in
program development, business community relations and promotion of
the school. Applicants for Assistant Professor: 1) must hold by fall
term 2014 a doctorate with concentration in Accounting. 2) Show an
interest in and a capacity to undertake scholarly research
publishable in the leading academic accounting journals. 3)
Effectively teach undergraduate and/or graduate students.
