Lecturer and MS Director

The Graduate School of Management (GSOM) at Clark University, AACSB-accredited since 1986, invites applications for a lecturer and Master of Science director in accounting and finance to begin fall 2014 for an initial three-year appointment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The appointment requires a master's degree or doctorate in hand by September 2014 from an AACSB-International or EQUIS accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates with prior business and/or management experience. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of teaching excellence in more than one of following areas: financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, tax, sustainability accounting and finance, investments, corporate finance, derivatives, equity valuation, and fixed income securities. Candidates must have ability to teach at both the undergraduate and the Master's level.

JOB DESCRIPTION: In addition to teaching four courses per academic year, the lecturer will be responsible for managing the two Master of Science programs in GSOM (Accounting and Finance). Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to: participating in hiring part-time faculty, advising students, leading assurance of learning activities for accreditation purposes, working with career services to support students in pursuit of internship and job opportunities, providing relevant input to the dean's office regarding the MSA and MSF programs, and supporting recruiting and admissions efforts. Candidates must be prepared to describe and/or demonstrate their capacity for successfully fulfilling the director responsibilities.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The GSOM offers an undergraduate management major, as well as MBA (full-time and part-time), MSF, and MSA degrees. In addition to offering programs on the main campus in Worcester, GSOM has a satellite campus in Metrowest-Boston. Clark University is a private, co-educational research-intensive university with approximately 2,200 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students.
