Tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Accounting
The College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University
is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of
accounting starting in August 2014. Principal responsibilities
include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in financial and
managerial/cost accounting. Salary and benefits are competitive and
commensurate with qualifications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A doctorate from an AACSB accredited
business school with a major or concentration in accounting, or ABD
if it is clear that the degree will be conferred by the appointment
date; evidence of teaching effectiveness in accounting courses at the
college/university level; evidence of an active research agenda
and/or potential for high quality scholarly activity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A propensity to publish in high quality
discipline based accounting journals and a professional certification
(CPA, CMA, CIA).

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: Central Michigan's School of Accounting has 15
full-time faculty and over 330 accounting majors. The College of
Business Administration is AACSB accredited at the graduate and
undergraduate levels, and has separate accounting AACSB
