Part Time Position
The Accounting Area at the McIntire School of Commerce at the
University of Virginia is seeking applications for one part time
position for the Spring semester of 2014 to teach 3 sections of
Intermediate Financial Accounting II.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate for this position must possess an
MBA or M.S. degree in a related business field or higher (e.g., Ph.D.
in Accounting. The strongest candidates will have demonstrated
excellence in teaching Intermediate Financial Accounting.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The McIntire School of Commerce awards a Bachelor
of Science degree in Commerce and Master of Science degrees in
Accounting and Management of Information Technology. It serves over
650 upper-level undergraduates and 250 graduate students.
Undergraduate students enter the McIntire School in their third year
at the University and concentrate in at least one of six fields:
accounting, finance, international business, marketing, management,
and information technology. McIntire graduates are actively recruited
by major professional services firms (e.g., accounting firms,
consulting firms, and investment banks) and Fortune 500 corporations.
The School's programs have been recognized as among the best in the
country in evaluations and rankings conducted by such publications as
Business Week, US News and World Report, ComputerWorld, and Public
