Wadsworth Chair

The School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo invites applications for the Wadsworth Chair. The successful candidate will be appointed at the level of Professor. Candidates are sought in the areas of either finance or financial reporting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have a strong research record that is recognized globally. Candidates should also have an established history of successful teaching. The successful candidate is expected to provide research leadership. This includes enhancing the research activities of the School, strengthening the doctoral program, mentoring younger faculty, and working with doctoral students. The successful candidate can begin on either July 1, 2014 or July 1, 2015. The School invites applications from candidates with proven research records combined with a history of intellectual leadership in finance and/or financial reporting.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: Since 2008 we have hired 21 new faculty and in 2009 we added over 50,000 square feet of new classrooms and offices. We offer a stimulating environment for research and teaching, and promote intellectual curiosity and growth.
