Faculty Positions in Accounting
The University of Arkansas is a nationally-competitive, student-centered, research university serving Arkansas and the world. The Department of Accounting in the Sam M. Walton College of Business seeks an Associate Professor and an Assistant Professor (tenure-track positions) beginning August 2014.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: For the Associate position, we have a preference for candidates with teaching and research interests in tax and for the Assistant position, we have a preference for candidates with teaching interests in audit, but will consider candidates in all areas for both positions. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in accounting and a strong commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching. Candidates for Associate should have outstanding research productivity and candidates for Assistant should have outstanding research potential.
ABOUT THE LOCATION: The city of Fayetteville is located in the northwest corner of the state. It is a city of approximately 70,000 with a regional population of more than 400,000. The region boasts one of the highest growth rates and is consistently listed among the most desirable places to live in the U.S. A number of Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in Northwest Arkansas, including Wal-Mart, Tyson, and J.B. Hunt.
