Reader/Chair in Accounting and Finance

In the UK's last Research Assessment Exercise Cardiff Business School was ranked fourth, with 70% of its research rated as "world leading" or "internationally excellent". It has a large and successful PhD programme which attracts a significant number of ESRC awards, and a strong and varied portfolio of postgraduate and undergraduate degrees. As well as its contribution to the international academic community, the School contributes to policy and practice on a local, national and international level through its involvement with major corporations, governments, international agencies and third sector organizations. It employs faculty from 35 countries.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The School is now seeking to appoint two highly qualified academics at Reader/Chair level in the area of Accounting and Finance. The successful applicants will provide academic leadership to staff within the Accounting and Finance Section, deliver high-quality research-led teaching and publish in high quality academic journals of international standing. The successful applicants will also assume a leading role in the supervision of research students.

SALARY:
Reader: British Pound 54,826 - 56,467
Professor: A point on the professorial scale.
