Faculty Positions in Accounting

Salary Range: Level A: $59,832 to $78,420 p.a.
Salary Range: Level B: $85,470 - $101,496 p.a.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill up to two positions at Level A and/or Level B within the Accounting and Finance discipline group in the Business School at The University of Western Australia. Appointees are expected to have primary teaching and research interests in any area of accounting and finance.

The Discipline of Accounting & Finance in the Business School offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses as well as research-based doctoral degrees. The students rank amongst the brightest in Australia, as measured by Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR). The Discipline is particularly interested in hiring individuals who are enthusiastic about teaching and, equally importantly, have a well-developed research agenda with the aim of publishing in high quality refereed academic journals.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants at Level B are expected to have a PhD or equivalent.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Successful applicants will be encouraged to work collaboratively in research with colleagues both within and external to the School and significantly develop their suite of teaching and research competencies each year. The Discipline aims to ensure that its goals of excellence in teaching and research are consistent with individuals' personal aspirations. A willingness to participate in a collegial way towards identifying and implementing practical steps to teaching and research excellence is essential.
