Foreign Faculty Positions in Accounting and Finance

The College of Business Administration at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Seoul, Korea invites applications for a Faculty Position in Accounting (1 faculty member), and a Faculty Position in Finance (1 faculty member), full-time, non-tenure track. Available: September 1st, 2013. Contract Period: September 1, 2013 - August 31, 2014 (the contract may be extended every 1 year).

The job rank (e.g. Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) will be determined by the applicant's educational and research experience.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
1. Salary: Salary will be determined according to the job rank. The annual salaries are as follows: Assistant Professor from US$34,931 to US$52,575; Associate Professor from US$46,608 to US$58,426; and Full Professor from US$52,277 to US$64,096. Job Rank is determined by candidates' qualifications. The university has its own formula for calculating job rank. The dollar exchange rate used for this scale is US$1=1,100 Korean won, and is subject to change as the exchange rate changes.
2. Airfare Support: One-way airplane ticket from (departure) to Seoul (economy class for the faculty member and his/her spouse).
3. Accommodations: Dormitory for foreign professors (single room or family room).
4. International Conference Participation as a speaker: Round-trip airfare is provided for the economy class (one-time-per-academic-year).

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Faculty should teach a minimum of eight hours a week, of which four hours or more should be at the department/division and/or at the graduate school for which s/he is primarily employed. In order to renew a contract, department consensus and fulfillment of research requirement are necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The faculty member should be either (i) one who has been, by the commencement of employment at the University, a member of a full-time faculty for three years or more at a university or college in the country where the language concerned is spoken, or (ii) one who has a doctoral degree, speaks the standard variety of the language, and is deemed qualified to teach at the University.
