Faculty Position in Financial Accounting

The Department of Accounting & Information Management of Maastricht University School of Business and Economics is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in Financial Accounting at the Assistant Professor level.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position should have a Ph.D. (or be near completion) in Accounting or related fields such as Corporate Finance. Applicants must have a commitment to excellence in teaching and research.

CAREER PROGRESSION: The full-time faculty position is tenure track (3+3 years). Decisions about contract renewal and promotion are based on individual performance, principally in research and teaching. Maastricht University salaries are competitive with those at the top European universities and annual teaching loads are also comparable. Furthermore, significant research support is provided, such as WRDS, experimental lab, and individual research budgets.

Research at the Department of Accounting and Information Management is consistently ranked as one of the best in its field in Europe. All accounting research is brought together in the Maastricht Accounting, Auditing, and Information Management Research Center (MARC), which is an integral part of the department, and the majority of research can be classified as economics-based, quantitative empirical research.
