Accounting Faculty Positions

The University of Missouri-St. Louis, Department of Accounting of the College of Business Administration, an AACSB-accredited program, invites applications for two positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting level, beginning August 2013. Preferences for the positions are in the areas of Audit/Cost/Tax and Financial Accounting, respectively.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have, or expect to complete, a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited university or equivalent before the start date. We welcome candidates with research interests in any area of accounting, with particular preference for candidates with teaching experience and interest outside of financial accounting for the Audit/Cost/Tax position and preference for candidates with teaching experience in financial accounting for the Financial position. We seek colleagues who will actively pursue scholarly research and enthusiastically approach teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary and benefits are competitive.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE: The AACSB-accredited College of Business Administration offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of business disciplines. Within the College, the separately AACSB-accredited Accounting program offers a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting. The Master of Accounting program has an outstanding career placement rate and is one of the top programs in the state of Missouri for graduates passing the CPA Exam. The Accounting Department is a truly collegial workplace comprised of ten full-time faculty members with a variety of research and scholarship interests.
