Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Accounting
Applications are invited for two (2) continuing (tenured) academic positions at either Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor levels (comparable to Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in the US system) in the area of Financial Accounting. The level of appointment will be dependent on the successful candidates' teaching and research record.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should ideally hold a relevant Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) although applications will also be accepted from candidates currently studying towards a PhD for the level of Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer. You will be expected to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervise student research, undertake research (in collaboration with the business community and others in the University), and contribute to other Departmental activities.
Appointees at Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer level are expected to: have a strong ongoing record of publication in internationally recognised, high quality journals in at least one principal area of Accounting; be experienced in the supervision of thesis students; and have good teaching skills Preference will be given to applicants with additional expertise in teaching areas such as Auditing, Management Accounting, Public Sector Accounting or Corporate and Social Reporting.
