Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting
Marist College, an independent and comprehensive liberal arts institution located in New York's historic Hudson River Valley, invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting to join the School of Management beginning Fall 2013. This tenure track position will involve teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses (including online courses) and maintaining a high level of professional activity through research and service.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in teaching and substantive research in accounting. Candidates with either an interest or experience in teaching financial accounting are preferred. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in accounting or a related field, or an anticipated completion date during the Fall of 2013. Professional experience and certification (CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, etc.) are also desirable.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The School of Management offers a highly collegial and collaborative environment, and places a strong emphasis on students, excellent teaching, and the ethical dimensions in business. An active program of research and publication is required for success in this position. The business and accounting programs in the School of Management are fully accredited by AACSB International.
